The Dragon Spring
“The Dragon Spring” is a film about passion and overcoming adversity. The protagonist, 25-year-old Paweł, dreams of one day coaching Arsenal London. But that goal is a long way off; for now, he faces a harsh reality instead of his dreams.
As a novice coach in Poland — where the story unfolds — Paweł is worlds away from the glamour of Arsenal. In fact, his first independent coaching job is with the “Red Dragons Brwinów,” the worst football team in the entire country.
Yet, none of that matters to him; he is incredibly motivated. Unfortunately, things quickly take a turn for the worse. Players skip training sessions, and his relationship with the club president — initially positive — deteriorates rapidly. Paweł realizes that the task he has undertaken is far more difficult than it first appeared… “The Dragon Spring” is a sports drama that explores the tough, ruthless rules governing the world of sports, but the sport itself is not the film’s only theme.
“The Dragon Spring” is much more than that. It is a universal story about dreams and dreamers, about outsiders who never give up, about battling adversity, and about friendship and solidarity. It is a film that shows how, even if you hit rock bottom, you can still emerge a winner in the end.
Everything depends on us — especially our own lives…
